SPUTNIK: The theme is the counter-culture of freedom and rebellion, "BEATNIK," and its origin, "SPUTNIK," also carries the meaning of "traveling companion."
*BEATNIK: A coined word combining Beat Generation and Sputnik.
We created a Pharaoh jacket out of leather, similar to those found in vintage car club items.Made from sturdy cowhide with a grainy texture and natural unevenness, it has a substantial feel, but the leather is thin and lightweight, making it comfortable to wear with less stress.
The ribbed cuffs, knitted with heathered yarn, and the hand-painted-style print, created by turning an actual painted artwork graphic into a print plate, are also eye-catching.
The sizing is set to be slightly relaxed, anticipating layering with thick items like sweatshirts and knits underneath.
