This design, based on 1950s work shirts, is made from "Kamedajima" fabric, produced using traditional Japanese techniques.
This item features the Duesenberg, a legendary straight-eight machine and the collection's theme. It boasts eye-catching chain embroidery on the back and a patch on the front featuring Mr. Chubbs, Mr. Bobby's beloved, eternal partner. Also, note the playful details such as the fake button on the chest pocket.
"Kamedajima" is a traditional textile that originated in the late Edo period in the Kameda-go region of Echigo, Niigata Prefecture, which was once the northernmost area for cultivating Japanese cotton. It was created as a durable, stain-resistant, and beautifully striped cotton fabric to support the strenuous rice farming in deep mud. The combination of colors, including indigo dyeing, offers a warm texture, durability, and a pleasant feel.
