Original Rayon Cupro Silk
"Etto" is a high-quality material produced in Fukui Prefecture.
It is a plain weave using filament rayon for the warp and cupro silk for the weft, achieving gloss, supple drape, and comfortable wear.
The pattern is expressed by discharge printing at a hand-printing factory, characterized by a clear and rich finish. In discharge printing, the print pattern is applied first, and then the ground color is dyed. At this time, chemicals are used to prevent the ground color from adhering to the print pattern, so unlike normal overprinting, the print pattern is less affected by the ground color and has a vivid coloration.
Factories capable of both hand printing and discharge printing are few, and production efficiency is low, making this a rare and special fabric.
