● BODY: Imabari Pile
● Embroidery: Freehand Embroidery
Based on U.S. MILITARY sleeping shirts from the 1930s-1940s, this design imagines a relaxed garment worn by a traveler gracefully journeying around the world, using luxurious, high-quality Imabari pile.
It features an asymmetrical front with Chinese-style toggle buttons, and embroidery on the stand-up collar.
With a slightly relaxed silhouette, typical of a sleeping shirt, it's versatile for various styles, whether worn as a shirt or as an outer layer like a coverall.
Woven on a pile weaving machine, it offers a plush and three-dimensional feel. By using a medium-speed rapier loom instead of a high-speed one, it achieves a soft and fluffy texture.
Furthermore, the fabric finishing, unique to the Imabari towel region, results in a pleasant feel against the skin.
