It is based on the US MILITARY JEEP KNIT. The JEEP KNIT, with its thick yet light and warm single rib construction, also possessed strength, making it a standard knit for military uniforms. We took a military knit, changed the sizing, color scheme, and accessories, and transformed it into a simple, urban design that reflects the BY GLADHAND style from a bygone era.
This knit is made with a single rib knit that is thick yet light and warm, and also durable, finished as a subdued bicolor knit. The sleeve and hem ribs use mixed yarns to subtly add an accent. Nut buttons are used for the buttons. The sizing allows for a relaxed silhouette.
It uses 3G Shetland wool. This luxurious yarn is spun thick from precious wool from the cold Shetland Islands. To preserve its unique stiffness and the natural oiliness of the material, it is finished non-washed, giving it a rugged look.
