GLADDEN: A unique, ultimate collector's item.
From this season, we have created an original tubular body with even more attention to detail.
This is a rare series of sweatshirts with artwork based on vintage designs, hand-painted one by one instead of printed.
The face yarn uses raw cotton from California, and is made from short, thick fibers characteristic of American cotton, spun on an open-end spinning machine. Furthermore, the twist torque is adjusted to make it softer and more voluminous than typical American cotton. For the back yarn, a very irregular and thick count yarn is used, and it is knitted with more tension than usual on a rare circular knitting machine to create a fabric that is then subjected to a labor-intensive tubular brushing process. For the finishing, it is washed for a long time at high temperatures in an old-style winch machine, and the drying process uses a gas tumbler, resulting in an original body with a distinctive character created with time and effort. The sizing is also offered in BIG SIZES, which are highly sought after in vintage clothing.
