Design: "AKOM" was established in New York, USA, in the mid-1940s as "ASSOCIATED KNITTED OUTERWEAR MILLS, INC." The company's initials gave birth to "AKOM" KNITWEAR. At the time, they incorporated design into functional SPORTS WEAR such as SWEATs and PARKAs, which had innovative designs and prioritized functionality, establishing them as suitable for everyday wear. Despite only existing for about 20 years until the late 1960s, many of their masterpieces, which pursued unique innovations in functionality and design, are still highly regarded and popular in the vintage market.
This is a collaboration with the brand, with the pattern taken from a 1950s freedom sleeve body.
This model is a VINTAGE FINISH model featuring GLADHAND's original wool felt patch.

This is a reproduction inspired by vintage AKOM freedom sleeve sweatshirts. It is a mid-weight 10.7 oz sweatshirt. The dyeing is sulfide dyeing, which allows you to enjoy changes over time.
It is knitted on a rare circular old-style small-diameter knitting machine from the 1970s, and the fleece is brushed while still in a circular body using a special brushing machine without opening it. The XL size uses a custom knitting machine to achieve a big size that did not exist in vintage items. Furthermore, it is processed using an old-style wince machine for a long time at high temperatures for bleaching and washing, and a large tumbler is used for the drying process, resulting in a fabric with a very good texture that is finished with great care.
